Source: A Guide to No, P.G. O'Neill, Hinoki Shoten, 1929, p. 56.

Some priests traveling through Shinano Province meet an old woodcutter who tells them about famous maple-viewing places there and, promising to come to entertain them later, asks them to pass the night in the place.  He returns later in his true form as a devil-god, Hiun, but the priests have been forewarned by a local god and succeed in subduing the devil by their holy power.
