About This Print

The artist's rendering of Tachimachi Cape in Hakodate, Hokkaido.   The cape sits at the southeastern end of Mount Hakodate and overlooks the Tsugaru channel.  Late in the eighteenth century the sogunate build at fort their which is now only noted with a marker.  It is known for its wildflowers and its views.

It appears that Masao did three different printings of this view, as shown below.
